As the year draws to a close, I would like to thank you all for everything you do for Kiwanis and, above all, for your tireless efforts to help as many children as possible grow up in a healthy environment.
The projects we have been working on since the beginning of the year will certainly help to offer them, step by step, a bright future.
To all of you and your loved ones, may 2026 be a year full of achievements, daily joys, health and peace!
Ukrainians are entering their fourth winter in wartime conditions and children are particularly affected by this.
In line with our mission of “Serving the Children of the World,” KCF leaders in Europe are once again organizing Christmas treat bags for children this year.
A Christmas treat bag costs just €15, but with this small donation you can make a child very happy.
From the creation of a new Visionary Leadership Team to the Green Steps For A Bright Future, the KI-E 2025-26 awards, the European launch of The Possibility Project from the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, and the European Convention in Catania, the November KI-E Newsflash is packed with useful information for Kiwanis members. Take a look!
The 2025-26 administrative year marks a crucial moment for Kiwanis International-Europe (KI-E): it will be the launch of a three-year strategic path (2025-28) with the goal of transforming KI-E into an operational hub serving districts, clubs and members. This year will serve as a pilot phase, essential to test and consolidate tools, methods and actions that will bring value to our entire organization in the medium term.
Open to young people aged 16-20 from all over Europe, the Youth Camp – hosted by the Kiwanis District Austria – will take place from 29 June to 6 July in Hohenems, Austria. The Kiwanis Youth Camp is a unique opportunity to meet other young people from all over Europe, experience other cultures, build friendships, learn about volunteering and leadership, and have lots of fun!
JOIN US IN AKUREYRI FOR THE 58th EUROPEAN CONVENTION!
Situated in north-east Iceland, in one of the longest fjords in the country and surrounded by mountains, Akureyri is the second largest urban area after the capital area of Reykjavík.
Get together with friends from all over Europe, meet new people, be inspired by the workshops and play a part in shaping the future of our organisation.
Initiated by 2023-24 KI-E President Josy Glatigny and his team of governors, the “Back to the Race” programme included a section on growth, focusing especially on younger members. Clubs which welcomed and integrated at least two members under the age of 40 in their clubs would be awarded the “NEO CLUB” label. During the 2023-24 Kiwanis year, 65 clubs in Europe did so!
5,000 Christmas bags filled with different kinds of sweets will be sent to needy children in Ukraine for their Christmas celebration on 7 January 2025.
It is with great pride and humility that I take on my role as KI-E President.
Our organization is made up of volunteers working for the greatest cause in the world – helping to improve the lives of children.
We’ve made a big impact on communities, nations and the world through our work over the decades, but to do the same in the future, we need more voices and more hands working for the well-being of the children in the world. We therefore need to expand our membership!
Let’s take up the challenge together! Various training sessions and activities will be organized throughout the year to help us strengthen our presence and welcome new members.
Check the calendar of events regularly to keep abreast of new activities.
REGISTER FOR THE SECOND EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY
As mentioned at the 57th European Convention, since at the latter the necessary quorum was not reached to vote on the new KI-E articles of association, as a Luxembourg A.S.B.L. we are legally obliged to organize a second Extraordinary General Assembly.
