The 2025-2026 administrative year marks a crucial moment for Kiwanis International-Europe (KI-E): it will be the launch of a three-year strategic path (2025-2028) with the goal of transforming KI-E into an operational hub serving districts, clubs and members. This year will serve as a pilot phase, essential to test and consolidate tools, methods and actions that will bring value to our entire organization in the medium term.

Problems to face:

  • Lack of awereness about the KI-E, tools and resources already at disposal
  • 23 % of clubs below the charter strength
  • 40 % of clubs close in the first 5 years
  • 67 average age of members
Strategic Guidelines 2025-2026

1. Sustainable Growth – INCENTIVES FOR SPONSORING CLUBS

  • Financial incentives for sponsoring clubs: to encourage the creation of new clubs, sponsoring clubs will receive financial support to cover necessary coaching and mentoring activities. KI-E has budgeted an amount of € 10,000 which will allow us to reward the efforts made by the sponsoring clubs of a new club.

    How does it work? Very easy!

    KIE will give to the sponsoring club (only the first one in the charter form) € 200 automatically and just after the new club will be chartered: it is an incentive for the sponsor club to charter the new club, not only the traditional ones but also Voices Clubs (18-26 aged).
  • Objective: to ensure not only quantitative but also qualitative and lasting growth.

2. Youth Engagement

  • The Visionary Leadership Team (aged 18-40) has been established, with the direct involvement of young members.
  • Purpose: to gather insights and ideas to make Kiwanis an increasingly attractive organization for new generations.

3. Service and Community Impact

  • Launch of a unyfing European service project for children, involving clubs across Europe.
  • Goal: to increase social impact and enhance Kiwanis’ visibility within local communities.

    Specific commitment to supporting The Possibility Project of the Kiwanis Children’s Fund, avoiding the promotion of competing initiatives.

4. Growth & Service Awards Program

  • KI-E has a recognition program for clubs and districts that achieve set goals in membership growth and service.
  • Awards will be presented during the European Convention in Catania (Sicily), 28-30 May 2026, for those reaching goals by April 30.
  • The event will not only be a celebration but also an opportunity to strengthen unity and share results.

  • 5 clubs involved → 🥉 Bronze
  • 10 clubs involved → 🥈 Silver
  • 15 clubs involved → 🥇 Gold

📌 3. SERVICE – KIWANIS CHILDREN’S FUND TPP

  • €5 per member → 🥉 Bronze
  • €10 per member → 🥈 Silver
  • €15 per member → 🥇 Gold
  • €20 per member → 💎 Platinum

Conclusions

The 2025-2026 year will be the pilot year for the new pathway in Europe, laying the foundations for a stronger, more united, and more impactful Kiwanis International Europe. Sustainable growth, youth engagement, community impact, and a clear, motivating recognition system are the cornerstones of this new direction.

With confidence, we look forward to the Convention in Catania, where we hope to celebrate many achievements together, aware that they will be the result of the collective commitment of members, clubs, and districts across Europe.
